The OEX Group, which specializes in providing services and technology in the sales area, closed the first half of 2021 with very significant increases in results in all its operational segments. Consolidated EBITDA amounted to PLN 32.9 million, which is an increase of 36.8% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Its largest portion was generated by the eCommerce Services segment. The net profit attributable to the shareholders of OEX S.A. amounted to PLN 11.9 million, which constituted a threefold increase when compared to the profits for the first half of 2020.

‘The Group is growing rapidly which is reflected in excellent results. Its successes mainly include the significant EBITDA growth and the achievement of the strategic objective of ensuring the dominance of the eCommerce Services segment in the Group’s results. Its share has already exceeded 50%. The eCommerce Services segment grows owing to the rapid increase in the demand for e-commerce support services,‘ said Jerzy Motz, President of the Management Board of OEX SA

In case of Divante, a softwarehouse specializing in eCommerce technologies, this is yet another consecutive reporting period of a double-digit revenue growth. In the first half of 2021, it went up by more than 40%, when compared to the first half of the previous year. The company generated over PLN 8 million in EBITDA, which is more than twice as much as in the corresponding period of the previous year, achieving EBITDA margin of over 23%. In the first half of the year, the company also completed the acquisition of 70% of shares in Rzeszow-based Brand Active, a company creating e-stores based on the Shopify platform, one of the world’s most rapidly growing sales platforms. Owing to this transaction, Divante added Shopify to its portfolio of supported technologies, alongside Magento, commercetools and Mirakl. The company also raised €1.3 million to develop a new fintech technology – a blockchain-based loyalty payment card.

Voice Contact Center also sees a dynamic growth, thanks in part to its partnerships with the Poland’s largest eCommerce players, such as Allegro and IKEA. When compared to the first half of 2020, the company doubled its EBITDA, reaching PLN 4.7 million in 2021 (over PLN 3.3 million according to IAS 17). It is currently focused on a further development of its services and technologies in the customer experience area, including a multilingual support, voicebots and chatbots.

Significant growth was also noted by OEX E-Business, a company providing warehousing and fulfillment services. The company’s revenue from its core operations went up by 40% when compared to the first half of 2020, and its EBITDA reached PLN 6.1 million (PLN 2.9 million according to IAS 17). In August 2021, the company expanded its warehouse space by 13,000 sq.m. to handle its growing scale of operations.

The Sales Support segment also had very good results, despite the pandemic-related constraints that affected business lines involved in field actions and field marketing. PLN 4.5 million of EBITDA is an increase of over 32% and results from both the development of cooperation with key customers and the restructuring activities carried out in previous years.

The Retail Sale Network Management segment achieved a growth of more than 18%  in the income from commissions on the sale of telecommunications services and the number of contracts signed at the stores increased by over 23%. At the same time, the average number of stores rose by 6.6% when compared to the same period of the previous year, owing to the acquisition in December 2020 of 27 stores operated for T-Mobile. The segment’s EBITDA amounted to PLN 14.2 million to (over PLN 9.3 million according to IAS 17). The Group currently operates a total of 358 stores for Orange, T-Mobile and Plus (versus 334 stores at the end of the first half of 2020).

‘In addition to growth in our core business lines, we are also working on innovative solutions in the area of digitization of sales processes. We consider commerce digitalization the most promising line of development. Our great achievement is the technical approval of the first virtual cash register by iPOS, a company OEX invested in a year ago. In the first half of 2021, it generated more than PLN 3 million in revenue. We want to continue to invest in the development of competencies and technologies in the area of digitalization of commerce and customer experience, and our stable financial position, low debt and adequate cash resources enable us to implement our ambitious plans,’ adds Jerzy Motz, President of the Management Board of OEX SA
