OEX Group takes over the management of 48 stores from Orange

On 7th May 2018, Tell Sp z o.o. of OEX Group signed a lease contract under which it shall take over the management of 48 sales points of Orange Retail S.A., a subsidiary of Orange Polska S.A.

The agreement comes into force on 1st July 2018 and was signed for the period of 4 years. Should Orange Retail intend to continue the lease, the OEX Group shall have priority in concluding the subsequent agreement.

Rafał Stempniewicz, a member of OEX S.A. Management Board said – we are delighted that Orange has positively evaluated our effectiveness by entrusting to us the management of almost half of the network, which until now has been operated by their own subsidiary. We are a company specialised in that kind of activity, we boast 20 years of experience in cooperation with mobile network operators, and our services are competitive in terms of quality and effectiveness in sales point management. Outsourcing model in respect of the operation of the chain of stores has proved to be effective throughout our many-year cooperation with Orange Polska, and recently it has gained special relevance in terms of increasing competition and difficulties on the labour market.

Ultimately, all Orange Retail S.A. points will be operated by external agents. As a result of the transaction, the number of points managed by OEX Group will increase by 37% to 178. Stores operated by Orange at the end of 2017 accounted for more than 43% of all sales points managed by OEX Group.

Rafał Stempniewicz, a member of OEX S.A. Management Board said – our remuneration will depend on particular sales targets, which – as it was so far – we will implement mainly thanks to efficient human resources management and implementation of appropriate systems and processes that improve effectiveness of the entire model.

As a result of the transaction, the OEX Group will be the second Orange agent in Poland in terms of number of stores.
